WHO AM I
BACKGROUND
To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone. I will not say that I have succeeded in life, as I am still very young and life has still a lot to teach me. However, I do think that I have acquired the basis of these three things. I actually believe that the day I was born on October 25, 1989 at 9:20 pm, I had already developed my funny bone. Throughout her whole pregnancy, the doctor kept telling my mother that I was a boy, but I showed them wrong which was somewhat of a hazardous joke.
I have been living the majority of my life in Montreal, Canada. However, I was born in Bucuresti, Romania. After the fall of Ceausescu's Communist Party, Romania was still very unstable, thus my parents had apply for a Canadian Visa. In 1992, we had finally received our golden opportunity.

INTERESTS, ACTIVITIES, & PLANS
For the past year, I have worked at Vanier College as a swimming instructor and at the YMCA as a day care personel.
When I am not in school or working, I like spending time with my friends especially going to Chapters, having barbecues, camping trips, social gatherings (bars) and road trips. Actually, this summer my group of friends and I have decided to try a new place in Montreal every week. I also enjoy staying fit and loading on the vitamin D out in my backyard.
Upon the completion of my degree at McGill, I would like to travel in Italy and Spain to teach english and also live for a year or two in Alberta.
My main professional objective is to acquire as much cultural experience and background knowledge on various educational systems so I can build my phylisophy of teaching as well as put it into practice.

EXTRA....
How does one start a journey and try to embrace a new culture... this sign in the London airport was my answer... give way'' --- can be viewed as throw away any pre-conceived notion of what I can possibly know discover it with my own eyes
I am fascinated by the art of photography. I have started as an amateur and have found a passion that has brought me on several interesting stops in my life. Last summer, a fever of travelling has hit me. I travelled for 2 consecutive days over the Atlantic and Europe and African Continent in order to arrive to my final destination: Bangladesh. My 6 week journey was a life time experience. I was culturally shocked, yet amazed at how similar but different humans are. The beauty of understanding and cherishing the notion of difference is constructed through opportunities of experiencing a culture from the eyes of the locals. I was lucky enough to experience it once, and now life was giving me a second opportunity. On February 25, 2011, I was officially accepted by the McGill study abroad committee to study in New Zealand.
Moreover, as a curious kid, I always wanted to know more about the world and the ancient civilizations. Thus, I would watch endless hours of documentaries and learn fascinating things about lost and newly discovered facts. In addition, I also have a passion for movies.

MY DAILY DOSE OF PHILOSOPHY
Destiny is the bridge you build to the one you love
Cowards die many times before their deaths
...
People ate until they could see their reflections on each other's stomach
I finally ventured into these memories, I became so sad that the bones in my body started to ache
- Sir, don't you think you had a little to much drinks tonight? I may be drunk, but you're ugly and by tomorrow I will be sober again.. but what will happen to you? (Winston Churchill)
- If I was ur wife I would have put poison in ur coffee... If I was ur husband I would have drinked it (Winston Churchill)
"Sometimes words feel like stones to me. They are heavy and burdening. I drag them up and down my body like stones in an old bag. They seem to hold me down. They seem to make me sad." -Jann Arden
Everyday we create who we are.-Jann Arden
You were born an original, don't die a copy- Jann Arden
- One may well ask, " How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?" The answer lies in the fact that one has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws, though one must do so openly, lovingly and with a willingness to accept the penalty. An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and accetps the penalty to arouse the conscience of the community, is expressing in reality the highest respect for law. An unjust law is a human law not rooted in eternal law and natural law.A law that uplifts human personality is just; one which degrades human personality is unjust. (Martin Luther King Jr.)
